Description: Bob Lay creates a spectacular hunting knife. His designs are well thought through and show an amazing degree of craftsmanship. This Bob Lay Canadian Hunter is the perfect size for using out in the field. It is among the most dramatic Bob Lay hunters I have seen to date.
The blade is made from CPM154 stainless steel that has been heat treated to Rc 58-59 for optimal edge retention and durability. This powdered metallurgical steel has a particularly small grain structure, making it take an extremely keen edge and hold it! By mirror polishing the flats of the blade and satin finishing the grinds, Bob shows off clean grind lines that are very dramatic. Jimping along the spine offers a secure thumb purchase. The blade is hollow ground for an easy to maintain edge. A small ricasso makes re-sharpening a breeze.
The handle is made from jet black buffalo horn. The box elder burl spacer is stabilized and beautifully dyed. The handle is completed with a polished stainless steel butt cap, guard, and spacers, giving it perfect balance in hand.
This knife is accompanied by a hand stitched and tooled leather sheath and a Cordura storage pouch. This Canadian Hunter will be a perfect companion for any adventure!
