Description: This is an elegant, hand forged Camp Bowie. It is exquisite -- with a nice forward balance for a swinging chop. Whether chopping wood out in the wild or a cherished knife in a collection, the Bitterroot Camp Bowie is sure to be a favorite knife.
The blade was forged to shape from 80CrV2 carbon steel. This resilient steel will hold an exceptional edge while having good strength for chopping. The blade features an heirloom quality hand rubbed satin finish.
The handle is carved from stabilized spalted maple. The presentation grade wood has great figure and dramatic black spalting lines. Alternating black and red spacers assist the handle to adjust to temperature and humidity changes. It swells at the palm and toward the pommel for a secure, comfortable grip. The double guard is formed from satin finished 416 stainless steel. This is a knife you won't want to put down.
Accompanied by a hand tooled leather sheath by Gordon Kenley.
Excellent fit and finish throughout!
