Description: Dan Dagget was a knifemaker from Stewart, Ohio. He made his first knife in 1973 and often specialized in fixed blades with beautiful embellishments and inlay work. He was a voting member of the Knifemaker's Guild. This small kukri has a classy and elegant feel that will remain timeless for generations to come. This knife was kept in a private collection since it was made in 1978. It is in brand new condition and by all appearances, Dan could have made it yesterday!
The recurve kukri blade is hand ground 440C stainless steel. 440C is known for its ability have good edge holding, excellent chip resistance, and very high corrosion resistance. The blade is meticulously mirror polished.
African blackwood (Dalbergia melanoxylon) scales are set on a full distal tapered tang. African blackwood is among the most dense, durable woods available in the world and is highly prized for its jet black appearance. Nickel silver is inlaid into both sides of the knife and expertly scroll engraved. The nickel silver bolsters have been engraved to match the inlays.
Exceptional work throughout!
