Description: Aaron Wilburn became a journeyman smith in June of 2009 and a master smith in 2013. Wilburn creates serious knives for some of the most avid collectors and knife enthusiasts. This utility knife will be as comfortable being used out in the field as it would in any collection!
The 3.1 inch blade was forged from 52100 carbon steel. Many knifemakers and users feel that 52100 is among the best steels used to make modern knives. With its small crystalline size, 52100 takes a keen edge and holds onto it. A differential heat treatment ensures a hard cutting edge with a softer, supportive spine. Aaron's maker's mark is on the left side of the blade and his M.S. mark is on the right.
Red nara handle scales are set on the full tang for strength and durability. Narra (Pterocarpus indicus) is found in the Solomon Islands. It has a beautiful red tone with a curly figure. The contoured handle ensures a comfortable, secure grip.br> To keep the knife close at hand and protect it during transportation, a custom leather sheath is included.
Excellent work throughout!
