Description: Styled after the knives of William Scagel (one of the best known makers of the early 20th century), this Kris has everything that you would expect from ABS Mastersmith P.J. Tomes. The combination of Mastersmith PJ Tomes' workmanship, the style of the late William Scagel, and the elegant Javanese inspired Kris blade is entirely captivating.
Mastersmith P.J. Tomes doesn't make as many knives has he used to, so I was extremely pleased when he called to let us know he had just completed some new knives that were coming our way.
Tomes forged the blade to shape from 52100 carbon steel. This steel is considered by many knifemakers and knife users to be the best steel currently used to make knives. The blade features a hand rubbed satin finish. Both edges are fully sharpened. The recurve cutting edge is particularly efficient.
The stacked handle features washers made from brown leather, black and red fiber, and steel. It is completed with stag for a sure, comfortable grip. This combination ensures you will enjoy using it for hours. You'll have a hard time putting this knife down!
The knife is accompanied by a hand stitched leather sheath.
Excellent fit and finish throughout.
