Description: Master Smith Henry Torres creates a spectacular custom hunting knife. His work is influenced by some of the best makers in the business.
The clip point blade was hand forged from 52100 carbon steel -- a steel that many knifemakers and collectors feel to have the highest performance found anywhere. The blade was hand satin finished for an heirloom quality.
The handle is comprised of two pieces of expertly matched sheep horn in mortised tang construction - the seams are nearly imperceptible. Sheep horn is a perfect choice for use knives -- both because it is so durable and because rather than becoming slippery when wet, it becomes more 'grippy'. The handle is completed with hidden internal pins. A satin finished stainless steel guard prevents your hand from slipping forward onto the blade. Black fiber spacers assist the handle in adjusting to changes in temperature and humidity. A fileworked copper spacer brings warmth to the handle.
The knife is accompanied by a hand stitched leather sheath.
Excellent fit and finish throughout.
