Description: carlMichael crafted his first knife at 15 years old. His 30 years of artistry are reflected in this exceptional small Swedish utility knife. From the high performing damascus blade to the beautiful ancient ivory, this is sure to be a focal point of any collection, though it will feel equally at home out in the field.
The damascus blade was forged in Sweden by bladesmith Magnus Jönsson. The blade combines an explosion pattern edge and a twisted Ws pattern spine. These surround a mosaic damascus central bar. The blade was forged to shape, allowing the intricate pattern to follow the cutting edge. The blade provides substantial contrast between the alternating steels. Magnus' maker mark is engraved into the right side of the blade.
The handle is formed from an exquisite piece of woolly mammoth ivory. It is nicely contoured for a secure, comfortable grip.
To keep the knife close at hand, a traditional single seam leather sheath is included.
Exceptional work throughout!
