Description: Arno Bernard Sr. is a maker from South Africa and has been making knives for over 35 years. He has been a member of the Knifemakers Guild of Southern Africa (KGSA) for over 20 years.
This neck knife is a rarity for Arno, who generally focuses on hunting knives. It features a dagger ground, satin finished N690 stainless steel blade. N690 is created by Bohler in Austria. It takes an incredibly sharp edge and holds onto it. Increased toughness gives it better resistance to edge chipping. The blade is hollow ground to a thin, high performance edge.
The handle is made from burgundy paper Micarta set to the tang using three stainless steel pins. The knife is very lightweight and comfortable to hold. It is a perfect size for a hard use neck knife.
A leather sheath helps to keep this knife close at hand.
Excellent work throughout!
