Description: Mastersmith David Lisch has become well known for his bowies and kitchen knives, but before all that he was a blacksmith. This brute de forge Ranch Hand show's David's skill at the forge -- a skillset earned working at the forge for countless thousands of hours. David brings a skill level of forging that few bladesmiths possess.
David forged this utility knife very closely to shape, beginning with a bar of his own mosaic damascus. The blade features a forge finish along the flats and reveals the bold mosaic pattern in the grinds. His choice of steels, as well as his expert heat treatment, ensures that this is not only a beautiful knife, but also a high performing tool. The finger choil is nicely upset for a very comfortable grip.
The three finger handle is formed from premium sambar stag set on a full tang. Both the blade and tang are distal tapered for a perfect balance.
Excellent work throughout.
