Description: Chris Reeve Knives are some of the finest semi-production knives made. This Mnandi features ancient cream toned wooly mammoth ivory scales with a stainless damascus blade. Sadly, mammoth ivory scales are now a thing of the past for Chris Reeve Knives. Though they stopped taking orders for mammoth ivory several years ago, CRK has been continuing to complete pre-existing orders. Regretfully, they have just told us that they do not plan to make any more mammoth ivory knives.
The scales are inlaid into the frame rather than being simple overlays. This presentation grade mammoth ivory is a pristine cream tone. The blade is made from Devin Thomas' stainless Ladder pattern damascus. The steel will have exceptional edge holding and is immediately captivating. Both the liners and pocket clip are formed from 6Al4V titanium, keeping this knife extremely light and durable. The clip is mounted for tip up carry. The knife can be comfortably opened and closed with one hand and locks open for safety. The thumb rest is fileworked for dependable handling. The Mnandi features a strong integral locking mechanism that Chris Reeve popularized.
We are a Chris Reeve Knives authorized retailer. This knife ships with its Certificate of Authenticity, blank warranty card, original box and wrench, Chris Reeve polishing cloth, and leather pocket pouch. This knife can be taken apart for thorough cleaning - instructions are available at www.chrisreeve.com.
