Description: This Mel Nishiuchi folder is a spectacular knife! Mel is not only a tremendous knifemaker, but his supply of rare stones and his skill in working with them is nearly unmatched.
The drop point blade is formed from ATS-34 stainless steel. It features and heirloom quality satin finish. The blade has smooth action and is easily opened with the blade disc. It was heat treated by Paul Bos.
The scales are formed from rare cobaltite with inclusions of native silver. This rare stone, which comes from Cobalt, Ontario, Canada is absolutely amazing. The polished silver inclusions, which travel across the mottled white background are polished to a reflective surface. Mokume gane bolsters were forged from brass, nickel silver, and copper. They are dovetailed to the stone scales for a perfect fit. The titanium liners and backbar are anodized.
Exceptional fit and finish throughout!
