Description: This Kosie Steenkamp knife is a fantastic utility folder -- yet it would feel equally comfortable in most any collection. The drop point blade and ergonomic handle are perfectly designed for the task at hand.
Kosie was inspired by and introduced to knife making by his brother, Willem Steenkamp. He began making knives in 2007 and was accepted as a member of the Knifemakers’ Guild of Southern Africa (KGSA) in May of 2009. Kosie is a stickler for detail and perfection, all these qualities and his obvious passion for this craft comes through in his work.
The drop point blade is made from damascus steels. Tempered to Hrc 59, Kosie has ensured exceptional edge holding. The blade is hollow ground for an easy to maintain edge. The blade is well centered with silky smooth action -- easily opened with the thumb stud.
The handle combines lightning strike carbon fiber with damascus bolsters. Lightning strike carbon fiber was designed for the military to deflect lightning from fighter jets. Anodized titanium liners are jewel polished on the interior. The textured and anodized titanium pocket clip is mounted for right-handed, tip-up carry.
Excellent work throughout!
