Description: Raymond Richard's designs have a timeless grace about them that comes from a family heritage of knifemaking and the inclusion of hard to find materials.
The blade is hand forged from carbon steel recovered from an antique saw blade. Ray is a true master at the forge, regularly teaching other bladesmiths better forging techniques. Here, the blade is forged so closely to shape that only the edges had to be sharpened. This is a totally new level of mastery at the forge!
The bolster and end cap are forged from antique wrought iron. The wrought iron has a hammered finish which continues the antique feel of the knife. The handle is formed from a deer antler crown. It is perfectly shaped, with just the right amount of downturn for a secure, comfortable grip.
Excellent finish throughout!
