Description: Renowned Japanese knifemaker Kiku Matsuda has been grinding blades for over 40 years and is a 5th generation knife grinder. His unique, dramatic grinds are well known throughout the knife industry. His father runs a small workshop in Seki, grinding blades for production knife makers. Kiku joined his father's business at the age of 15 and learned grinding techniques from his father. Kiku's skill at the grinder has become legendary. Whether you know it or not, you may already have a knife blade ground by him. He grinds knives for the like of William Henry, Pro-tech, and Randall Kings. In fact, he personally grinds and polishes William Henry's custom grade blades.
The Itadori is the perfect choice for an EDC neck knife. Kikuo, who is an avid fisherman developed it as his personal fishing knife. The thin profile and slender blade make it a perfect choice for the task. The 4 inch blade is created from 14C28N stainless steel to combat rust and corrosion. It features a convex V-grind, with a long false edge along the spine. The blade is finished in Kikuo's non-reflective disruptive acid finish.
The handle scales are made from black G10 and are contoured for traction and comfort while carrying or using. The scales are set on a full tang for lasting durability and include a lanyard hole in case extra security is needed.
Accompanied by a kydex sheath. It can be worn on the belt with the included Tek-Lok or can be worn as a neck knife using paracord.
