Description: Master Smith Henry Torres had the opportunity to work under Mastersmith Bill Burke in the spring of 2006. This allowed him to best understand Bill's techniques of heat treating and implementation, which result in a level of edge holding rarely found elsewhere. Henry heat treated this blade using the techniques he learned from Bill -- creating truly exceptional edge retention.
The drop point blade was forged to shape from 52100 carbon steel -- a steel that many knifemakers and collectors feel to have the highest performance of any steel, anywhere. The blade is hand satin finished. A 416 stainless guard, also satin finished, meets perfectly to the sheep horn scales. The elegant natural texture of the sheep horn has been left to aid with the grip. The scales are set on a full tang for strength and durability. This is a capable knife that is built for hard work!
Excellent fit and finish throughout.
