Description: Peter Pruyn created this exceptional fighter. The blade is hand forged from 5160 carbon steel. Peter began with a 1964 leaf spring. A visible soft back draw results in a softer, supportive spine, with a keen, long lasting edge. The spine has been heat colored for a dramatic appearance. Both the tang and blade are distal tapered for optimal balance. Peter based his design on a knife by Mastersmith Red St. Cyr. Red has now passed away, but he is keenly missed. Peter forged this blade at Red's forged as part of Pruyn's JS performance test.
The handle is formed from stabilized quilted maple. Each side of the handle is burn-carved with images of cobras.
The knife is accompanied by a custom leather sheath by Carl Thomas. Excellent work throughout!
