Description: Ole Pedersen was born and raised in Denmark but now hails from Washington State and is a new knifemaker to watch. His work shows tremendous attention to detail and has clean, crisp lines. Makers such as Bruce Bump and Todd Begg have guided Ole in the art of knife making. Ole finds inspiration in our avian friends and he named this knife the Pelican.
The hollow ground blade is formed from CPM154 stainless steel. A clip point and distal taper ensure optimal balance. The blade meets the handle with a deep choil. Satin finished 416 stainless steel bolsters meet seamlessly with both blade and scales. The handle scales are smooth black Micarta, and are secured by two steel pins. By creating a slight dome to the Micarta, Ole created a knife that is very comfortable to hold. This piece is accompanied by a gorgeous, custom leather and snakeskin sheath, made by Ole's wife, Julie.
