Description: This clip point bowie shows Mastersmith Aaron Wilburn's work at its best! It successfully combines his high level of fit and finish with rough forged sides into a knife deserving being called a masterpiece.
The blade was forged to shape from 52100 carbon steel. Many knifemakers and users feel 52100 is among the best, if not the highest performing steel currently used on knives. The edge holding will be exceptional. The flats are forge textured, while the grinds have been meticulously hand satin finished.
The guard was forged from antique wrought iron, flame textured and heat colored. A nickel silver spacer separates the warm toned ironwood handle from the blade. The handle is nicely shaped for a secure, comfortable grip. It is completed with a hammer finished copper pin.
The knife is accompanied by a hand stitched leather sheath made from Wicket & Craig leather. Excellent fit and finish throughout.
