Description: This hunter by Raymond Richard has an old world grace that is rarely found in knives by other makers. A Scandinavian influence is clearly visible in this knife, though Ray's own style also shines through. It is both good-looking and highly capable.
The blade was forged from a lumber mill saw -- an extremely tough carbon steel with very good edge holding. A differential heat treatment of the blade ensures a great combination of hardness and toughness. This piece would hold its own in any collection, but would also perform exceptionally out in the field.
The handle is formed from Swedish masur birch. It is sculpted to fill the palm comfortably - you won't want to put it down! Front and rear furniture are formed from hammer finished antiqued bronze.
The knife is accompanied by a three ply wet formed leather sheath.
Excellent fit and finish throughout.
