Description: Raymond Richard's knives have a timeless grace about them that comes from a family heritage of knifemaking and the inclusion of hard to find materials.
This drop point hunting knife has a great feel. The blade was hand forged from 5160 carbon steel. Ray is amazing to watch at the forge and has taught many makers his forging techniques. His ability to forge closely to shape is tremendously clear on this exquisite blade. It is antiqued to offer an aged appearance. The bolster is forged from wrought iron and forge finished, continuing the antiqued feel to the knife.
A large white tail deer crown supplies the handle and is gorgeous as well as comfortable in the hand. All edges have been rounded and smoothed and the end of the handle swells allowing a positive retention. The base of the crown in carved in to a moon.
A wet formed brown, 2-ply cowhide sheath is included. A very comfortable and practical knife with excellent fit and finish throughout!
