Description: Art Nouveau features a unique opening system Andre developed called a front flipper. This modification on a flipper opening is tremendously easy to use and does not catch when stored in the pocket. When combined with the IKBS ball bearing system, the action is exceptional! The Ikoma Korth Bearing System (IKBS) was originally designed to fit balisong knives and uses ball bearings to create exceptional action with no blade play. This is among the smoothest knives I have ever felt.
The blade is formed from Bohler N690 stainless steel. N690 is a super-steel created by Bohler in Austria. It takes an incredibly sharp edge and holds on to it. Increased toughness gives it better resistance to edge chipping. The blade is hollow ground for an easy to maintain edge.
Blue anodized titanium liners support 416 stainless steel bolsters and carbon fiber scales. The bolsters have been meticulously hand engraved by Julien Marchal. Belgium-born artist Julien Marchal studied engraving and gun making at Léon Mignon Liège in Belgium. High contrast Art Nouveau figures travel across the surface of the steel. Titanium liners are hand fileworked. A pierced and blue anodized titanium pocket clip is set up for right handed, tip up carry.
Attention to detail has been paid throughout this knife, with the fit and finish exceptional!
