Description: This Clip Point Hunter will make an elegant camping or hunting knife and will still be a fine addition to any collection.
The blade was hardened by renowned knifemaker D'Holder and has been double tempered and cryogenically heat treated to give it outstanding edge holding ability. The blade is flat ground by hand with sharp, clean lines and has a satin finish.
The spine is lightly fileworked, resulting in a comfortable and secure thumb rest. The clip point extends up to the thumb rest, resulting in an artful and graceful curve. Along with the distal tapered tang, you are assured a perfect balance in the hand.
The spine was mirror polished from the point all the way around the handle to (and including) the choil, where a tasteful Dutch nick is located.
The cocobolo scales were hand selected for grain and color and are a perfectly matched set. Red fiber spacers assist the handle to adjust to changes in temperature and humidity.
The sheath is handmade for this knife, resulting in a perfect fit. It is cut from 8-9 oz. premium cow hide shoulder. The sheath is artfully hand tooled front and back and has been given five coats of Antique Saddle Tan with two hand rubbed coats of Neat Lac for a beautiful, long wearing, water repellent finish. The sheath was hand sewn using a double saddler's stitch with a double twisting lock.
Excellent work throughout!
