Description: This Fighter by Peter Pruyn of Brothersville Knives is his first version of that pattern and incorporates some unique features. Full tang construction with a "Skull" mosaic damascus bolster, red spacer, and ebony handle with mosaic pins and lanyard tube. This is Peter Pruyn's most popular knife model and looking at it, it is clear why!
The blade and full tang are forged to shape from 8670 carbon steel. This ensures a keen, long lasting edge. It sports an antiqued finish with fileworked thumb rest and a very steep grind, 3/16" blade stock, 1" blade depth. Filework along the spine provides a secure thumb purchase.
Perhaps the highlights of this piece are the intricate bolsters. They are created by Doug Ponzio into a skull and spiderweb pattern mosaic damascus. You just don't see this every day! This damascus was forged from 1095 and pure nickel, and are matched perfectly to smoothed and shaped ebony scales. Red fiber spacers assist the handle to adjust to temperature and humidity changes. Mosaic pins complete the handle with finesse. A short, black braided paracord lanyard, tied through a brass mosaic barrel culminates in a pewter Emerson style skull.
