Description: Celtic Knot features a unique opening system Andre developed called a roll opening. This modification on a flipper opening is tremendously easy to use and does not catch when stored in the pocket. When combined with the IKBS ball bearing system, the action is exceptional! The Ikoma Korth Bearing System (IKBS) was originally designed to fit balisong knives and uses ball bearings to create exceptional action with no blade play. This is among the smoothest knives I have ever felt.
The blade is formed from RWL34 stainless steel. This powdered metallurgical steel has a smaller crystalline structure which leads to a keener, longer lasting edge.
Blue anodized titanium liners support 416 stainless steel bolsters and carbon fiber scales. The bolsters and backbar have been meticulously hand engraved by Julien Marchal. Belgium-born artist Julien Marchal studied engraving and gun making at Léon Mignon Liège in Belgium. Complex Celtic knots twist and writhe on the surface of the steel. Chevrons travel along the backbar. Titanium liners are meticulously hand fileworked. The folder is completed with a blue anodized titanium pocket clip. Attention to detail has been paid throughout this knife, with the fit and finish exceptional.
