Description: This hunter by Raymond Richard has an ageless sense of grace that is rarely found in knives by other makers. The elegant blade shape is nicely complemented by the bulbous curly maple handle -- which feels so good that you won't want to put it down.
The blade is L6 carbon steel, an extremely tough steel with very good edge holding. The heat treatment of the blade ensures a great combination of hardness and toughness.
The wrought iron for the fittings were forged from an 1800s era anchor chain. The handle is from warm toned curly maple. It has been nicely sculpted to form a perfect, comfortable grip. This is definitely one of those knives you won't want to put down. Accompanied by a two ply, wet formed, hand stitched cowhide sheath.
Excellent fit and finish throughout.
