Description: South African knifemaker, Andre Van Heerden, creates an amazing folder -- and this Damascus M4 is an exceptional example of his work.
The recurve, clip point blade is formed stainless damascus. The blade features dramatic, swooping grind lines traveling across the damascus surface.
Very rare lightning strike carbon fiber scales rest on anodized titanium, keeping this knife light and fast. Copper strands move through the carbon fiber weave. This type of carbon fiber was originally designed for use on fighter jets to redirect electricity. Lightning strike carbon fiber is among the hardest to find knifemaking materials. The color and pattern of the carbon fiber complements the damascus well. Damascus bolsters by renowned bladesmith Ettoré Gianferarri are dovetailed to the lightning strike carbon fiber for a perfect fit. This is a knife that will have excellent durability as a using knife, but will easily feel at home in any collection. The blade is perfectly centered and has as silky-smooth action as a knife can have. Excellent fit and finish throughout.
