Description: André Thorburn creates an exceptional folder at an amazingly low price. This large folder has a great feel when held and will have exceptional edge holding. Though large (a 4" blade!), the knife is light and has a thin profile, making it easy to keep close at hand.
The 19C27 stainless steel blade has been hollow ground for an easy to maintain edge. It has been meticulously hand satin finished in the grinds and mirror polished on the flats. The steel, which is in the same family as 12C27, is tremendously wear resistant and takes on an incredibly, keen, long lasting edge. It is one of those rare steels that has exceptional edge holding and can be easily stropped from sort-of dull to scary sharp.
The scales combine tan G10 with carbon fiber bolsters. Rather than using separate pieces butted together, Andre created the G10 handle and inlaid carbon fiber into the bolster area. This results in an extremely durable knife. Red fiber spacers separate the scales from the blue anodized titanium liners. Exceptional fit throughout. Well centered blade with silky-smooth action. Accompanied by certificate from the maker.
