Description: This is among my favorite knives by Andre van Heerden. The blade is formed from a complex damascus steel forged by Ettoré Gianferarri. Gianferarri makes his damascus in very small quantities. His patterns are very complex and show tremendous skill. The blade has silky-smooth action and is well centered between anodized titanium liners. The handle scales are formed from desert ironwood. This exhibition grade wood has tremendous swirling grain patterns and a great mix of dark and light tones. The titanium liners have been anodized. The blade is well centered and has silky smooth action.
