Description: This skinner by Raymond Richard has an ageless sense of grace that is rarely found in knives by other makers. The blade was forged to shape from a leaf spring (5160 carbon steel). A differential heat treatment assures that the spine is soft and resilient, whereas the edge is hard and will maintain a keen edge.
The wrought iron for the fittings were forged from an 1800s era anchor chain. A mule deer crown forms the handle -- resulting in a very secure hand-hold. The crown is finished off with a wrought iron butt cap.
Excellent fit and finish throughout.
