Description: This masterpiece by Raymond Richard has an ageless sense of grace that is rarely found in knives. The large blade (measuring 9-3/4 inches!) was forged to shape from 1084 carbon steel. The hand satin finished blade has a clear differential heat treatment line, assuring that the spine is soft and resilient, whereas the edge is hard and will stay sharp. The wrought iron for the fittings were forged from an 1850s era wagon wheel. These surround the nicely shaped ebony handle. The guard, fittings, and blade have all been antiqued for an heirloom appearance. Accompanied by a hand stitched cowhide sheath. Exceptional fit and finish throughout.
