Description: South African knifemaker Andre van Heerden creates an amazing folder -- and at a price that could never be found from an American or European maker.
The hollow ground stainless steel blade has silky-smooth action and is well centered. By hand satin finishing the grinds and mirror polishing the flats, Andre accentuates the dramatic grind lines. Mosaic damascus bolsters were forged by Ettoré Gianferarri, assuring that the patterns will be unique and different from those generally found on the American market. The bolsters have been hot blued to accentuate the already complex pattern. Exhibition grade desert ironwood is used for the scales. The scales are dovetailed to the bolsters for a perfect fit. Anodized titanium liners keep the knife light. Excellent fit and finish throughout.
