Description: This dramatic, large hunter shows the influence of knives by Mastersmith Ed Fowler.
The heat treatment follows the formulas developed by Fowler and Burke -- a technique that has proven to create some of the sharpest and most long lasting edges found anywhere. The long, clip point blade has strong differential heat treatment lines. The blade was forged to shape from 52100 carbon steel. Many makers and collectors feel that this is the best steel available anywhere for use as a knife blade.
The handle combines stacked leather spacers with antler. Both the leather and red fiber spacers assist the handle to adjust to temperature and humidity changes. The brass lanyard hole is a great addition. The handle feels so natural in the hand, you’ll have a hard time putting it down. A serious field knife for the avid hunter or collector.
The knife is accompanied by a hand stitched crocodile leather sheath. Aaron has made the strap detachable, allowing it to be replaced if the blade ever cuts or damages the strap.
Excellent fit and finish throughout.
