Description: As an avid hunter, Randy knows how a good knife should perform. He loves to "field-test" his designs and feels that a quality knife should not only look great, but perform well as a tool. He is perhaps best known for his exceptional stacked handle hunters. To find a damascus hunter from Randy is a real rarity.
The blade was hollow ground from Devin Thomas stainless twist pattern damascus and was hardened by Randy to Hrc 59-60. The stacked handle was formed from desert ironwood with thinner spacers made from African blackwood, red Micarta and turquoise. The resulting handle is both comfortable and immediately captivating. The fiber spacers assist the handle to adjust to temperature and humidity changes. Excellent fit and finish throughout.
