Description: Canadian Bladesmith Mark Banfield created this exceptional, hand forged, hunting knife. The blade was forged from 1075 carbon steel and was differentially heat treated. The resulting blade has a soft, supportive spine, with an ultra-hard, long lasting cutting edge. The blade was then hand satin finished to 400 grit and acid etched for an heirloom appearance. Birdseye maple scales are set on a full tang and secured with brass pins. The wood was sanded to 600 grit and lightly buffed. It is nicely carved and fits comfortably in the hand. Accompanied by a tooled leather sheath. Excellent fit and finish throughout.
