Description: This dramatic limited release folder combines an aerospace grade titanium frame and blue wave pattern mokume gane inserts with a stunning wave damascus blade.
Mokume gane (pronounced moe-koo-may gah-nay) is constructed of multiple layers of contrasting non-ferrous metals fused together under intense heat and pressure. The laminated layers are manipulated to expose the separate layers, with each layer retaining its unique character and color. The mokume is then shaped using traditional metalsmithing techniques.
William Henry’s wave damascus features a core of ZDP-189, HRC 67. This core material ensures unmatched sharpness and performance, while the alternating exterior layers create texture, contrast, beauty, and blade strength. Each blade is hand-ground and polished, and a final etching process reveals the exquisite pattern of the Damascus steel.
The button lock and thumb stud are inlaid with sapphires to compliment the blue tones in the mokume inserts. Stainless micro-screws create the final open-frame construction of the handle. The leather lanyard is completed with a sterling silver bail and metal beads.
Accompanied by William Henry presentation wood box and black shark skin leather ClipCase for easy carry. Both the knife and the box are individually numbered. This folder is #36 of 100 made. Serial No. 77-0410 - 36/100. Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity
