Description: Coming back from the Blade show with journeyman smith test knives is one of my great highlights of the year. Five knives were made by each applicant that are the height of their work. These knives were judged by ABS mastersmiths on fit and finish, as well as general artistry. The standards are exacting. This utility knife was one of the five knives that Jim selected as the best of his work for judging by the masters.
The drop point blade was forged to shape from 5160 carbon steel. Hardened to Hrc 58-59, the knife will have exceptional edge holding. The appleseed grind further assures a long lasting, durable edge. A hand rubbed satin finish adds elegance to the knife. The handle is formed from a solid piece of cocobolo. A nickel silver pin completes the knife. Exceptional work throughout!
