Description: This drop point hunter with cocobolo scales will make and elegant hunting knife and will still be a great additional to any collection. The blade was hardened by renowned knifemaker D'Holder and has been double tempered and cryogenically heat treated to give outstanding edge holding ability. The knife has been flat ground by hand with sharp, clean lines and has a satin finish.
The spine is hand fileworked in a rope pattern, resulting in a comfortable and secure thumb rest. The spine was mirror polished from the point all the way around the handle to the choil where a tasteful Dutch nick is located.
The cocobolo scales were hand selected for grain and color and are a perfectly matched set for an extremely dramatic effect at the butt of the handle.
The sheath is handmade to the knife, resulting in an exceptional fit. It is cut from 8-9 oz premium cow hid shoulders. Hand tooling on the front and back is very artful. Five coats of Antique Saddle Tan with two hand rubbed coats of Neat Lac give a beautiful, long wearing water repellent finish. The sheath was hand sewn using a double saddlers stitch with a double twisting lock.
