Description: Journeyman Smith Mike Clark is a tremendously talented bladesmith. Given the level of work, it is no surprise that Mike easily passed his JS Test at the 2019 Blade Show in Atlanta, GA. He builds knives with great build quality. Whether a highlight of a collection or carried daily, Mike Clark's knives are a real pleasure.
This Tactical Tomahawk is a prime example of Mike's clean work. It is made with edge awareness, economy of motion and mobility in mind. This makes it perfect for tight spaces. The head measures approximately 6 inches from the rear spike to the front face, with a cutting edge of 3 inches. The head features a forge finish on the flats and is satin finished as it approaches the razor sharp cutting edge. The head and full tang are 80CrV2 carbon steel. This steel has extreme toughness coupled with excellent edge holding -- making it perfect for a hard use knife or hawk. Mike's mark is on the left side of the head.
Handle scales are green canvas Micarta, hand contoured to provide a comfortable grip. A distal tapered full tang ensures perfect balance.
The hawk is accompanied by a brown leather custom blade cover.
Excellent work throughout!
