Description: Chris Reeve Knives are some of the finest semi-production knives made. This rare Sable Survival Knife was made by Chris Reeve Knives to Idaho. The Sable IV features a blade based on the Japanese tanto. This knife was kept in a private collection since it was made. It is in brand new condition, but is missing the original box and sheath. Replacement sheaths are still available direct from CRK.
The handle, guard and blade are integral and are made of one solid billet of A2 tool steel for excellent edge retention and shock resistance. A non-reflective black KalGard Gun-Kote finish coats the blade and handle. The knurled handle provides a sure, comfortable grip. A removable aluminum butt cap allows access to the in-handle storage area -- a perfect place to keep matches and other emergency supplies.
Made in the USA. This is a very rare find and has not been made since 2009.
