Description: Dale Miller's attention to detail shines through this elegant, slim profile gent's folder. The dramatic damascus blade and bolsters coupled with mammoth ivory, provide a presentation anyone could enjoy!
The damascus clip point blade is forged from 1080 and 15n20 carbon steels, hardened to 61-62 Hrc for excellent edge retention. The high contrast paisley pattern is immediately captivating and draws the eye for further examination. The blade has smooth action with a firm half-stop. The nail nick on the left side of the blade is easy to use.
The handle is formed from mammoth ivory. The ivory incorporates caramel, coffee, and cream tones. Explosion pattern damascus bolsters are fluted providing an excellent grip. The spring is made from 1080 carbon steel hardened to 48 Hrc. Because this knife is made from carbon steel, we recommend using camellia oil to oil the blade and ivory scales.
The flush end means that the end of the tang, spring, and bolsters are all flush at the end of the knife. This adds an elegance to the appearance as compared to the more common design where the bolster extend beyond the ends of the tang and spring. This is an advanced technique and not seen on production knives.
At only 3 ounces, this knife is extremely lightweight and easy to carry!
Nice work throughout!
