Welcome, Guest
Butch Deveraux lives in Riverton, WY with his wife, Shannon. He trained with Mastersmith Ed Fowler, making knives in the pronghorn style. He is a part-time knifemaker who is primarily employed as a general contractor. Butch lives by the words “live life for today, for you never know what tomorrow may bring.”
Butch credits Mastersmith Ed Fowler, as well as Eldon Perkins and Bill Burke, as his inspiration and mentors, and is happy to be joining them in their quest to strive to make a better and stronger blade. All of his knives are forged and heat treated using the processes that these master bladesmiths have perfected. Butch tests every one of his knives for edge flexing ability on a steel rod and by cutting a one inch diameter hemp rope.
Aside from knifemaking, Butch’s hobbies are hunting, fishing, camping, and snowmobiling.
